Alignment Features

The antenna tripod legs extend individually to allow uneven mounting surfaces to be accommodated. A spirit level built into the head mounting face provides means of ensuring that the leg adjustment provides a horizontal equipment mounting surface. The head assembly incorporates vernier scales for both pan and tilt, the pan scale is marked in 10° intervals & the tilt scale in 5° intervals. The head rotation is unlimited, the tilt movement operates +/- 50° about the horizontal.

Head Assembly

The head assembly is mounted on a bearing to provide continuous, smooth rotational adjustment. A brake mechanism is provided to lock the head assembly at any required rotational setting. The tilt mechanism is centre biased with a heavy duty spring which will set the head to its datum position (i.e. horizontal when the tripod head mounting surface is set horizontal) and also serves to counter any off-centre leading which may be mounted to the equipment face.
