Reflector Antennas Overview

by julianr last modified Thu 01 May 2008 14:27

Q-par Angus designs and manufactures a wide range of high quality precision antennas and feeds. These include linear, circular polarisation (CP) and dual polar waveguide feeds, prime focus reflector antennas, offset reflector antennas, solid & split parabolic reflector antennas & profiled antennas, covering 0.1 m to 2.4 m and 1 to 40 GHz and more.

Reflector AntennasQ-par Angus has more than 30 years experience in the design and manufacture of solid, transportable (split) and lightweight composite microwave reflector antennas. These antennas are built to the highest standards, and have served our customers well for many years in the field with high quality and attention to detail being the key.

Low sidelobe levels, low VSWR and a variety of mounting options are available. The reflectors are made from an aluminium spinning having a rolled rim with stiffening ring spun in.

Applications

  • Surveillance
  • Secure Links
  • Solid and Transportable, i.e. Split Reflector, (also known as Segmented Reflector Antennas or Petallised Reflectors)
  • EW
  • Test
  • Communications, eg. Satcoms

Offset ReflectorThe table below shows our standard feed and reflector assemblies available. We have designed and manufactured many other frequency ranges, and reflector/feed types whether they are spot frequency, or unusual waveguide bands, and odd focal length reflectors to produce a specified beamwidth rather than gain figure.

Also available:

  • Prime Focus Reflector Antennas, Offset and Cassegrain Reflector Antennas
  • Microwave Amplifiers for feeds
  • Feed horns are available separately if required.
