Q-par Angus Ltd has had a long history providing antennas for EMC test purposes to many discerning customers. The range of antennas offered are ideally suited to both emission and immunity tests within EMC.
Our wide band horns covering a total range 100 MHz to 40 GHz are ideally suited to emission testing, enabling a whole multi-octave frequency sweep to be covered with a single antenna.
For immunity testing high gain horns are preferred, offering low sidelobes and trustworthy performance. For many years Q-par Angus offers a range from 900 MHz to 40 GHz in standard waveguide based frequency bands.
Recent interest in producing very high field strengths for aerospace component testing has led to the development of a range of HiRF antennas that produce fields 3 to 4 dB in excess of standard gain horns. Unique focusing techniques have been used to overcome the limitations of traditional designs when operating at one metre test distances. This means that it is now possible to easily produce fields of 3000 V / m using commercial 3 kW amplifiers, even at L band. Q-par Angus has teamed up with another UK high end microwave company, TMD Technologies who specialise in high power microwave amplifiers to offer a fully integrated solution.
Consequently, with this wide range, choosing a horn can be a time consuming exercise.
