How can I purchase items from your company ?
If you can’t see what you need please

If you want to know if a product will suit your application please contact our technical team by phone, fax or email.
Once you’ve decided what you need,
contact our sales team to confirm price and
delivery. A quotation will be issued.
If the quotation is acceptable to you, you will need to issue an official purchase order confirming product, quantity, price and delivery as quoted, along with delivery and invoicing information.

We are happy to speak directly to any of our customers worldwide instead if you prefer. This
is the way in which we have traded internationally for the last 20
years. But we also recognise that you may wish to deal with a company
in your own country, in your own language, and in your own timezone.
If there isn't a
representative shown in your country, we are very happy to do business
with you by email, and by phone from our base in the UK. This has
proven to have been very successful over the years as our company has a
strong technical focus, where all the staff dealing with Sales have an
engineering degree and relevant engineering experience.
What do I need to view your Company and Product Videos?
Due to the restrictions that many companies and organisations place on their user's abilities to download and play video footage from the Internet, we now use Flash Video format to show our company and product videos.
All that is required is the Adobe (Macromedia) Flash plug-in version 7+ for your Web Browser.
Flash video support is available on Windows, Mac OS-X, Linux, and almost all other platforms.
The advantages are that you do not need to 'download' the video file, and thus are no longer subject to the restrictions of company firewalls. Instead the video, is played in the browser itself.
Our website makes use of a 'streaming service' so that even with a slow connection, you do not need to load all the video at once.
How did you get the name Q-par Angus ?
The company was established in 1973. The company founders (still heavily involved in the running of the business) have the surname 'Holliday'; 'Holliday Engineering' did not fit with their vision of how the company would operate !
After much deliberating, the name was chosen at random, with a pin and an atlas of the UK. The pin randomly landed in a town called Cupar Angus, in Scotland. There was already a company called Cupar Engineering, so that name could not be used. Instead, 'Cupar Angus' became 'Q-par Angus' with the letters C and U becoming a Q and A, also signifying the company's heavy commitment to Quality Assurance.
Over the years the name has been useful, as it is quite memorable. Also, we are fortunate to be able to use a rather short domain name of q-par.com.
What is RSS ?
You may have seen small icons on this site with 'RSS'. RSS is a new means to freely & automatically receive or in Net parlance 'subscribe' to newly created or modified information.
In this manner when you subscribe to this narrowly defined 'feed', you will receive all info and updates automatically without having to get it yourself.
Q-par Angus use RSS so that you can easily subscribe to for example our main Downloads section RSS feed, or a particular product RSS, and then you will receive updates specifically concerning these items.

Where is your company based?
Our company is based in the market town of Leominster, (pronounced 'Lemster'), in the north of the county of Herefordshire in England, UK. We are approximately 1.5 hours drive from Birmingham, 1.5 hours drive from Cardiff and two hours from Bristol and Manchester. The company is approximately a 3-3.5 hour drive from London.

How do I use your 'Live Search' ?
Live search is a method of searching that finds matches as soon as you
begin typing. For example if you were to look for the word 'glossary'
you would begin by typing g, l, o which would immediately start finding
results such as glove or gloat (assuming those words were on your site to begin with) as well as the word glossary.
The more letters typed would narrow the search results until just the results bearing the word 'glossary' appear. The advatage of live search is that search results appear immediately, and you are able to alter your search terms quickly as you see results pop up. It saves you from having to enter search terms, wait to view a results page, then go back and alter the terms.
If that's not enough, there is an advanced search that lets you enter sophisticated search queries that sort by content type, author, date and so on.
