New Ultra HiRF EMC Horn Antenna Capability Announced

by James Hinton last modified Wed 29 August 2007 16:34

Q-par Angus was proud to officially launch it's new HiRF Antenna Capability, at the 2006 EMC UK exhibition. This new HiRF (High Intensity Radiated Field) achieves new levels of high field strength, in excess of 3 kV/m @ 1m, across the 0.4 - 18 GHz band.

New Ultra HiRF EMC Horn Antenna Capability Announced

1.5 to 2 GHz HiRF Array System

With ever increasing field strengths required to meet the latest EMC test standards, Q-par Angus Ltd has taken the initiative. In doing so, we have developed a unique antenna system that is capable of reaching ultra high field strengths in the near field that will never be attainable using traditional systems.

This novel approach makes use of arrays, lenses and extended gain antennas to achieve high field strength in the near field. Traditional EMC antennas fail to produce the necessary gain to meet with the latest high power specifications. These latest specifications drove Q-par to strive forward and develop this system drawing on it's long history of designing custom antenna solutions, and working closely with our customers.

By teaming up with TMD technologies, the microwave amplifier manufacturers, we have been able to produce complete turn-key High Power EMC Test Systems achieving high gain in the near field with a workable spot size. Our delivery of systems does not stop at your front door, we can work hand in hand with your engineers, seeing though installation, integration and your UKAS approval.

The system is fully mobile and transportable, so whether you want to move your system to a chamber next door or to a different site, we designed the system with the end user in mind. Nor can a system boast more features that help cut set up time and reduce number of people involved in set up.
