The company takes its environmental obligations very seriously. Over the last few years we have taken steps to greatly improve energy efficiency, reduce waste and eliminate pollution. Such measures include:

• Changes to our standard paint schemes to reduce pollution
• In-house recycling of solvents
• Power-saving measures: replacing CRT monitors with TFT units
• Energy-efficient lighting
• Pro-active recycling policies
• Active protection of wildlife on and around our site.

We believe that it is our responsibility to preserve and protect the environment in which we live and work. Far from viewing environmental compliance as an expense, we have made significant cost savings in terms of disposal charges by minimising waste at source, reducing energy consumption and eliminating pollutants.

Site Services

Our Site Services team provide complete support for Q-par's daily operations. Electrical safety, power quality, building maintenance and groundwork services are all provided by our own staff. Again, our unique location in rural Herefordshire provides its own environmental challenges and opportunities. Currently all green waste is composted, and trimmed tree branches are chipped to provide ground surfacing. 2005 saw a major overhaul of the electrical infrastructure of the company, providing greater quality and continuity of supply, and further major site upgrades are planned in the next few years.
