Antenna System Refurbishment
Q-par Angus offers a full antenna system refurbishment service. We can refurbish our own antennas and other antenna systems/microwave components from other manufacturers.
We have refurbished antenna positioners and complete radar antennas for customers.
An example is an X band radar antenna and positioner which had been poorly maintained for many years. Water had ingressed, and the radome suffered from many holes and breakages along its 6m length.

The original manufacturer had gone out of business and an 'as new' replacement was too expensive for our customer. The antenna was over 6m long but it wasn't a problem for us to refurbish as our customer required. We can also refurbish any ancillary metalwork structures that are part of the antenna system; in this case the antenna had a large feed support structure that needed attention.
The antenna was completely stripped down. The internal elements assessed for damage, then cleaned up and the radome was remade with completely new end caps. The whole assembly with the feed and feed assembly was also refurbished and fully retested.
Effectively the antenna elements and radome were as good as new after its refurbishment and the complete system delivered to our customer now able to be extended for another 20 years of its life.
